Testimonials

In Therapy, I provide a safe space for people to discover their own inner resources, to turn outside inspiration to become their own resources, to be expressive and find meaningful connection with self and others.

I have felt lost, scared and hopeless, but the occational Thursday session made it all worth while. Whatever happens now, whatever therapy I attend, all sprouted from your help. Thank you for helping me through this difficult time.

Thank you Yana for going through an enjoyable and meaningful journey with students with different special characters this year. I found students’ growth in their interpersonal relationship with their peers and positive changes in their emotional control.  Ms Yeung

The Journey

Initial Consultation

Provide me your background story, and together we identify goals to work on within an agreed time frame.

Expressing

Your art therapy journey begins. Working at your own pace, you’ll be invited to explore art materials and participate in different art-making activities. You may experience new discoveries, struggles, disappointment, or reluctance, but these are all part of the therapeutic process. We’ll discuss and reflect on your work to uncover personal meanings and explore any related difficulties and coping patterns.

Processing

At this stage, your creative expression and art journey may have given you a deeper understanding and new insights into the issues that brought you to therapy. We’ll evaluate what has worked and what hasn’t and identify any obstacles that may be hindering sustained change.

Termination

Saying goodbye is just as important as saying hello. Once you have embraced what you have learned and discovered through art therapy, your journey has enriched your resourcefulness and self-compassion, providing a foundation for autonomy. You’ll leave therapy with a deeper understanding of your mind and be empowered to act on your decisions and develop your life.

In their art therapy journey, many people find hope and meaning in the process of creating. If you're curious about what your own art journey might uncover, contact me for a personalized consultation.

F.A.Q.

To do art therapy, you do not need any prior experience in art making. People who get most out of it are not those who are very good at art making, but those who are willing to try new things.

Therapy can last from 8 weeks to years, depending on clients’ needs

In some situations it can be done online, and the required setup and equipment needed between f2f and online sessions will be different.
